I was looking at some orders going out today at out Brooklyn warehouse and had a chance to handle one of these new helmets from Thermadyne (branded under Tweco). First of all, this is one sharp looking helmet. The pictures don't do it full justice. An appropriate item to talk about as we move towards the 4th of July 2010, but I also noticed that our description was a little lacking on the helmet features. Looking over the helmet in person I saw Thermadyne had omitted to mention that the delay time for the auto-dark off feature was adjustable with three factory presets to switch between - slow, medium, and fast. Plus it has a grinding and welding mode switch. These are two great 'above and beyond' features compared to comparably priced auto-dark helmets.

Please Note: Based on our testing, emailing is a much better method as there seem to be more problems with fax numbers being used as phone lines. 

The only potential issue with an email address is that it may go into a spam or junk mail folder.

I thought this was a pretty cool and well made tool with at least one feature I had not seen before - the T-Handle can function as a spinner handle for quick fastener installation and removal. It is pretty standard in its mix of included bits (S2 steel of course) but has a good 'well made' feel to it and a nice case is included.

Two errors have been brought to my attention in the 1/1/2010 112 pg flyer.

TTN 36038 LED flash light on page 6 is advertised as a 12 pack. This is not correct. It is a single piece and priced as such. 12 pack counter  display is available by ordering part number TTN 36038-12PK.

THD 116701 plasma cutter on page 51 is advertised as the CutMaster 82 - this is not correct. The 116701 is the CutSkill-70A. It has a out amperage range of 25 to 80 amps and a duty cycle of 35% @ 70 amps. Cut capacity remains at 1".
