After hearing several requests from employees as well as customers, I am happy to announce an expanded product index has been added to the September 2009 catalog. This new index will be found on page 110.

Unfortunately I forgot to highlight this new index on the cover or even list it in the table of contents on page 3 but I have faith that everyone will find it.

The other change that came by request was to list more of the power tools in a table format. We have added the Lincoln 917 back into our product line. This is by far the most popular grease pump in the Lincoln line up and is well know by our customers and technicians in the field. We also added the 6917 grease pump which is a lower cost model compared to the 917 but uses the same time tested pump as the 917 does.

On a side note we are finding some customers are selling the 4417 economy model grease pump for jobs it is not capable of handling. This unit does not have the power or volume neede for heavy duty jobs and should only be put in low volume shops who don't need the better models increased pressure and grease output volume.

Air conditioning systems in vehicles and the tools needed to repair them can be confusing. This is especially true in the last 20 years with the rising concern for our enviroment and the effects that refrigerant can have if it escapes into our atmosphere. This year Cliplight has added an improved version of their extremely popular Total Super Seal. The old versions part number, as you probably know, is CLP 946KIT, the new version is CLP 976KIT. The 976KIT version's formula has two improvements. It now contains UV Dye in case at a future time there is a leak too large for Super Seal to repair. PLUS, what i consider the biggest improvement for users, the formula now contains DRY-R chemical which eliminates moisture in the system and extends A/C system component life. As an added bonus to the new formula, the Receiver/Dryer no longer has to be replaced when installing the 976KIT. This creates a substantial savings compared to the 946KIT.

Please note the EZR MSOBD8 part number, (advertised on page 6 of our July/August 2009 Catalog),  has been changed by the manufacturer to EZR MSBD28. There is no other difference. We have discontinued the old part number for the new part number.
